| Break-Chek is an accessory clutch that is used with an electric or pneumatic drill and a Spot-Eze drill bit to remove auto spot welds. (Will also work with other high quality brand spot-weld cutters of a 3/8" shaft.) It does several constructive things. First - it helps prevent spot weld drill breakage. Second - it controls the amount of metal removed proportional to cutting angles and hardness of the spot-welds. (Remember, some spot welds are so hard, they CANNOT be removed by drilling. If an attempt is made on these welds, because of their hardness, the cutter will be dulled or broken.) With Break-Chek, you will know when these welds are encountered, and it will not allow you to continue to drill them, but it will let you go to the next weld. (Hard welds must be chiseled, ground, or gas cut.) Break-Chek will automatically let you know when the cutter needs to be sharpened.
